SCIENCE-BACKED – DRUG-FREE – FOR KIDS & ADULTS

How MindBalance Aid works - and why it helps your child

MindBalance Aid Bands use gentle acupressure – practised safely for thousands of years – to help children feel calmer, focus better, and sleep more easily. No medication, no electronics, no complicated steps.

STEP BY STEP

How to use the bands

Each band takes less than 30 seconds to put on correctly. Here’s exactly how to position them for the best results.

MindBalance Aid Band

For focus, calm & sleep

Wear both wristbands and/or both anklebands depending on your child’s needs.

1

Find the acupressure point

Place your middle three fingers on the inner wrist from the wrist crease. The point sits just below your index finger, between the two tendons. For children, use smaller finger widths.

2

Position the acupressure bead

Slide the band onto the wrist with the bead facing inward, pressing gently on the point. Repeat on the other wrist – both must be worn to be effective.

3

Wear as long as needed

During homework, at school, or at bedtime. For the anklebands: position the bead on the SP6 point – about 4 finger-widths above the ankle on the inner leg.

TravelBalance Aid Band

For motion sickness & travel anxiety

Wear both wristbands throughout your journey for continous relief.

1

Find the Nei-Kuan point

Place three fingers on the the inner wrist from the wrist crease. The point is just below the index finger, centred between the two tendons.

2

Position the bead on the point

Slide the band on with the plastic stud pressing gently inward on the Nei-Kuan point. One band per wrist – both must be worn.

3

Put them on before you travel

The bands take 2-5 minutes to become effective. For best result, put them on before the journey begins – or as soon as nausea starts. Wear throughout the trip.

THE ACUPRESSURE POINTS

Three points. Three different benefits.

Each band targets specific acupressure points on the wrist and ankle. Here’s what each one does – and why it helps your child.

HT7 Shenmen acupressure point

Wristband – Inner wrist

HT7 - Shenmen

“Spirit Gate” – quietens a busy, overactive mind

The HT7 point sits on the inner wrist at the crease near the little finger. In traditional practice it’s known as the Spirit Gate – a calming point that helps settle a mind that won’t stop racing.

For children, stimulating this point can help reduce feelings of anxiety, ease emotional outbursts, and support a more settled state of mind – particularly helpful before school, during homework, or at bedtime.

A 2019 study by Son at al, confirmed HT7 stimulation significantly reduces psychological stress and improves sleep quality in clinical trials.

Wristband – Inner wrist

PC6 - Neiguan

“Spirit Gate” – activates the body’s natural calm response

The PC6 point is located on the inner wrist, about three finger-widths up from the wrist crease. It’s one of the most researched acupressure points in modern science.

PC6 directly stimulates the vagus nerve – the body’s natural “slow down” switch – triggering the parasympathetic nervous system to reduce heart rate, ease tension, and promote a feeling of groundedness.

This is also the point used to reliebe travel nausea and motion sickness, which is why the TravelBalance Aid Band targets PC6 specifically for car and plane journeys.

Ankleband – Inner ankle

SP6 - Sanyinjiao

“Three Yin Intersection” – supports deeper, calmer sleep

The SP6 point sits just above the ankle on the inner leg – which is why the MindBalance Aid pack includes anklebands alongside the wristbands. Most parents are surprised by this at first, but it makes immediate sense once you understand what SP6 does.

This point is widely used to calm the nervous system, reduce emotional overhelm, and support deeper, most restful sleep. For children who struggle to wind down at night, wearing the ankleband at bedtime targets SP6 continously – supporting a more settled  sleep pattern without any effort from you or your child.

During the day, the ankleband can also be worn alongside the wristbands to provide an extra layer of calm support during school, travel, or homework time.
